Chrysler seems to want to position the Aspen 2007 SUV as a brilliant alternative to the luxury SUVs in the US market. No matter, it should work. It's got a bunch of the prmeier features customers look for in large SUVs, an excellent design that should appeal to most, best-in-class horsepower, torque and interior room. This one should be a winner, unless one really really looks at doomsday scenarios and a recall issue hits it, whcih is unlikely anyway.

Fuel efficiency: 2007 Chrysler Aspen

The new 2007 Chrysler Aspen is more fuel- efficient compared to large SUVs, and when pitted against full-size SUVs, the Chrysler Aspen has a bit more interior space and luggage room.

2007 Chrysler Aspen: Engine and power

Power for the Chrysler Aspen 2007 is developed courtesy of two V-8 engines. One of them is the 5.7 liter HEMI engine, now featuring Multi-displacement System (MDS), which is expected to save considerable amounts of fuel. Important, in these days of climbing gasoline prices in the US. The 2007 Chrysler Aspen can tackle almost any terrain you can throw at it, thanks to two optional 4x4 systems. The Chrysler Aspen's optional 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine offers 335 horsepower and 370 lb.-ft. of torque, and can alternate between 4 cylinder mode and 8 cylinder mode for fuel efficiency. The Chrysler Aspen's standard engine is a 235-horsepower 4.7-liter Magnum V-8 with 300 lb.-ft. of torque. Both the Hemi as well as the Magnum engines are mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.

2007 Chrysler Aspen: Interior

The three seat interior of the Aspen 2007 is truly luxurious. It features LED lighting inside, express-up windows, a full-screen navigation radio, heated first- and second-row seats. A rear-seat DVD entertainment system is also thrown in. A speedo, white gauges with chrome rims, displays for fuel, oil, volt/battery, and odometer fill out the instrument panel. There is the Chrysler signature clock and an available full-screen navigation radio and temperature controls for front and rear occupants. Audio controls are available on the steering wheel, and an overhead console has controls for sun roof, power liftgate and universal garage door opener.

The 2007 Chrysler Aspen interior also features a power inverter for lap-top computers, mobile phones and electric coolers.
