IPOD ACCESSORIES: HARMAN KARDON DRIVE + PLAY
Harman Kardon Drive + Play
The Harman kardon Drive + Play is intuitive to use, yes. Easy to install, no.

27 November, 2005: Got a music-maniac in the family? He’s already got an iPod and the iGuy. What is the next cool thing you can get him? There is always the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play. This cool gadget puts the iPod display on your car’s dashboard where you can read it easily. You can see the iPod menus, in a readable font, on the backlit LCD.
Priced at $200, the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play also provides a joystick-shaped five-button controller that can be positioned anywhere according to your convenience.
The Drive + Play is integrated into your car’s stereo system and is compatible with all docking iPods so you can actually listen to all of your iPod’s tunes. It also eliminates the need for adapters.
So far, most of the alternatives were casette deck adapters, usually priced around $ 20 and FM transmitters priced around $ 50. The Drive + Play is defintiely costlier, but if you go for class, you aren't going anywhere else.
The installation can turn a little complicated - there are three separate units with lots of wires, and Harman - Kardon recommends using professionals for installation. Get them to do it for you unless you are very familiar with car stereo installations.
So no more fiddling around with the iPod while driving!
