Leading global mobile manufacturing company, Motorola, has introduced Good Mobility Suite version 6.0 for the global customers. This version will include a new managed-service virtual private network (VPN) and an enhanced device management and security platform. Motorola has also packed Good Mobile Connection, Good Administration Center and Good Mobile Messaging with the Good 6.0.
These services would provide organizations more secure, seamless, and manageable mobile access to enterprise information and applications. Company has moved in this direction with the belief that majority of enterprise users will have access to corporate applications from their mobile device within the next 2-3 years. The security of connection and its management would be a major challenge that time. Good Mobile Connection is expected to fill this gap by a persistent network-agnostic connection via the Good Network Operations Center (NOC), which improves the user experience for mobile workers.
Good Mobile Connection will allow Information Technology to set granular restrictions on both the type and location of assets to guard against hacking or denial of service attacks.
The new Good Mobile Connection is a managed-service Virtual Private Network It is capable of delivering a seamless, managed data connection from mobile devices to data and applications behind the corporate firewall. Good’s existing trusted transport will also enable other enterprise applications and services, such as instant messaging, intranets and thick-client applications to securely connect with behind-the-firewall resources.
The Good Administration Center will provide a unified environment for deploying and managing all Good applications, devices, security policies, and data access rights. This web console provides flexible access for software personnel to manage devices from wherever they are. Good Administration Center also utilizes web services to provide the ability to automate management operations and integrate with other third party management portals and processes.
