Nokia launches 6600i smartphone in India

Nokia, the world’sleading mobile phone maker, has launched the Nokia 6600i in the Indian market. The Nokia 6600i makes it the latest slider phone the Finnish mobile phone maker has introduced in India. Nokia expects 6600i to be a hit in India.
The most impressive feature of the Nokia 6600i is that it is a smartphone with a 5 mega-pixel camera. The model also has a front camera which comes in handy when the users use the video call facility.

Nokia 6600i features a 2.2 inch color TFT screen. It has a dimension of 93 x 45 x 14 mm and a weight of 110 gm. The mobile phone will be available in India in two colours – black and silver.

Nokia 6600i also comes with the Opera Mini browser. It also has other features such as MicroUSB, Nokia maps, accelerometer, IM, 3.5mm jack and Flash Lite 3.0.

Nokia has priced 6600i at INR 13,000 – INR 14,000.

Nokia 6600i has a double LED flash and auto focus with an 8X zoom. The cellphone promises a battery standby time of 348 hours and talk time of 4 hours.

The only drawback of 6600i is its low memory – 20MB – which can though, be further upgraded up to 16 GB with the help of a Micro SD card. Cutting edge features like 3G, EDGE and GPRS are intergrated in the handset. 6600i supports formats like MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA in addition to video formats such as 3GP, and MPEG4.
