Aarti Thakur to represent India at Mrs World 2006 Pageant
Fitness trainer to be India’s candidate in the Mrs World 2006 pageant to be held in St Petersburg on April 23.

Aarti Thakur, who won the No Marks Mrs India World 2006 on Saturday, will be India’s representative at the Mrs World 2006 pageant at St Petersburg.
The contest is slated to be held in the Russian city on the 23rd of April.
Participants from about fifty nations would vie for the Miss World crown, sources said.
In the Mrs India contest, Aarti Thakur beat Lavanya Rajesh, the first runner-up and Frainy Ahuja , the second runner-up to bag the beauty crown, the judging committee said.
Bollywood actresses Amrita Arora, Zeenat Aman, actor Arbaz Khan, fashion designer Neeta Lulla, former Miss India Dia Mirza and Mahesh Gupta were in the judging committee of the pageant.
Aarti Thakur is a fitness trainer by profession and has two kids.
Aarti aims to pursue modeling as a career and also start a grooming school.
The pageant had four elimination rounds -- introduction, swim suit, evening gown, and question and answers.
Ten semi-finalists were selected from the elimination rounds. They were:
Aarti Thakur, Frainy Ahuja, Nelanjana Arora, Meenakshi Sharma, Vibhuti Thakur, Nazma Nasir, Waheeda Johar, Sanddhya Suryavanshi, Lavanya Rajesh and Smita
Singhal.
The other contests in the pageant were the No Marks Mrs Flawless Skin which was won by Frainy Ahuja (Chandigarh), the Colgate Advanced whitening Mrs Beautiful bagged by Smile Aarthi Thakur (Mumbai), the Colormate Mrs Beautiful Hair won by Vibhuti Thakur of Mumbai, the Mrs Style and Grace prize which went to Sanddhya Suryavanshi of Mumbai and the Mrs Congeniality prize bagged by Sonal Sanghavi (Mumbai).
