DA VINCI CODE MOVIE TRAILER
Da Vinci Code trailer hits the Net, theatres on December 14
15 December, 2005: Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks would lead a galaxy of stars including Audrey Tautou, Sir Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Paul Bettany and Jean Reno to the theatre near you and of course on Internet as Columbia Pictures makes its much awaited The Davinci Code’s trailer premier a cyber affair too. The movie’s trailer will be launched in theatres and the Net on December 14.
The Davinci Code trailer will be available in Apple.com’s movie trailer site, media reports said.
The film is scheduled for release only in May 2006, but much hype has been already created.
The trailer will be available from Midnight on December 13 (US, pacific standard time) at www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/da_vinci_code/ .
Colombia pictures sees more than a 100 million internet users getting a glimpse of the trailer. It also plans to have translated version of trailers in twenty languages, in an apparent effort to spread its reach.
After the apple exclusive trailer, it will be routed via satellite to Sony’s online partners cross the world. The trailer can be seen in Quicktime player formats, iPod as well as in PSP formats. Columbia Pictures is a Sony pictures entertainment arm.
Columbia Pictures is targeting the audience of King Kong for its promotional tours of Da Vinci Code in theatres. King Kong is expected to open to a record audience, according to media reports. King Kong’s premier is on December 14 and the dubbed version will hit screens the same day in Russia, Japan, France, Italy Germany and Spain.
Dan Brown’s best-seller is being directed by Ron Howard and the screenplay is by Akiva Goldsman. The team had bagged the Academy Award for A Beautiful Mind.
The plot unravels following a murder in Louvre Museum. All fingers point to a religious body, which moves heaven and earth to protect the mystery shrouded with dogma for over 2,000 years.
All clues point to a covert religious organization that will stop at nothing to protect a secret that threatens to overturn 2,000 years of accepted dogma.
