RAJNIKANT PHOTO GALLERY: SIVAJI - THE BOSS MOVIE

Rajnikanth sports new look for Sivaji: The boss

Tamil superstar Rajnikanth is getting a sleek look for Shankar’s upcoming movie Sivaji.

From the Sivaji stills available with DWS, Tamil superstar Rajnikanth seems to be getting younger and younger on screen. And if Chandramukhi’s mega success is any indication, his under-production movie Sivaji may well turn out to be a hit, in the process hiking his Rs 15-crore price tag even higher.

Telugu star Suman is playing the villain in the movie being directed by hitmaker, Shankar. Shriya is the female lead of the movie and the music composer is AR Rahman.

The plot of the movie has not been revealed as is the case with all Rajni movies, but industry sources say the superstar plays a character similar to the one he essayed in the smash hit Basha – that of an underworld don. This is not confirmed.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that the Anil Ambani promoted Adlabs is working with Chennai-based Ocher Studios to come out with an animation film using brand Rajnikanth. Ocher studios is run by Lata Rajnikanth. It is not clear if the superstar will make an appearance in the movie or will be just an animation character.

In another development, Rajnikanth has exhorted his army of fans to vote for whichever party they like in the upcoming Tamil Nadu polls. But Rajni fans have vowed to defeat the Pattali Makkal Katchi, the party that attacked Rajnikanth after the release of Baba, which flopped at the box office. In some districts, Rajnikanth fans have also decided to support Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK.

There are also reports that his fan associations are vertically split due to the diverse political inclinations of its members. The Fan associations of Madurai, Sivanganga, Tiruvarur, Tiruchirapalli, Perambalur, Nagapattinam, Nilgiri, Pudukottai, and Thanjavur districts have openly supported AIADMK, though the fans were asked not to use the name of the fan clubs to promote any party.

There were even clashes between Rajni fans and PMK party men.

The PMK is in the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Front , once thought to have the backing of Rajni. Rajni was supposedly close with DMK.
