Pond’s Femina Miss India Universe for 2006 is Neha Kapur

Delhiite Neha Kapur is Femina Miss India 2006, while Natasha Suri wins Miss India World 2006 and Amruta Patki wins Miss India Earth 2006.

MUMBAI, INDIA

Twenty-two year old Neha Kapur from Delhi won the Miss India Universe 2006 crown. “Oh god! It’s still not sinking in. It has to sink. It has to sink!!” were one of the first few words she said after she won the prestigious crown. 

“I feel unreal, euphoric. Your name being called out is the most amazing feeling. It’s unbelievable. I remember backstage when they were calling out the lucky five who would make it from the ten of us I felt I was not going to make it. My name was the last to be called and here I am with the most beautiful crown on my head that every girl wants to wear,” Neha Kapur added.

Mumbai beauties Natasha Suri, 21, and Amruta Patki, 20, won the Miss India World and Miss India Earth titles in the Pond’s Femina Miss India Universe 2006 contest.

The star-studded show was compered by Mini Mathur and Madhavan. The judges were Zayed Khan, Rakshanda Khan, Karan Johar, and Karishma Kapoor. The show had performances by Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The Band of Boys also performed at the show.
