Da Vinci Code movie in theatres by May 2006

The movie based on the world-wide bestseller The Da Vinci Code, written by Dan Brown will hit the theatres in May 2006. Those who have read the mystery- adventure drama are eagerly waiting for the release of this film.

Da Vinci code movie is directed by Ron Howard and has none other than Tom Hanks in the lead role. Hanks plays the character of Robert Langdon, a harvard symbiologist and the movie tells us about his journey to find an explosive historical truth. 

The other actors in the Da Vinci Code include actors like Jean Reno, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Paul Bettany, Alfred Molina in prominent roles. 

The distributor of the Da Vinci code movie is Sony Pictures and its U.S theatrical release is scheduled for May 19. 

Some websites are carrying out a poll to find out whether Toms Hanks will be able to handle the role of Langdon in the movie. But those who have seen his wonderful and accurate performances in Forrest Gump and Cast Away will have no doubt about that. The Da Vinci code trailer has already hit the net. Seeing the number of people downloading the trailer, we can say that without doubt that the film will be a sure blockbuster.
