BY OUR TECH CORRESPONDENT

30th November,2005: Sony has released a new PSP update, version 2.60 with a lot of new and exciting features including RSS feed support. The 2.60 patch is available in US and Japan through Wi-Fi, USB connectivity as well as future game UMDs.

Sony Playstation Portable has actually been upgraded to a newer level with the introduction of this Sony PSP update 2.60. Experts say this is more like an upgrade than an update, just because it comes loaded with some really useful features.

Streaming audio is now possible, but not audio downloads.

The PSP update 2.60 has features like support for WMA files and a very effective RSS support. The 2.60 Sony PSP update also has a Chinese language support for built-in Internet browser.

Sony PSP firmware update also includes a Volume Adjustment to the [LocationFree Player]. Using the built-in Internet browser of the PSP , we can download video content that has copyight protection.

The 2.60 update should arrive in Europe and the rest of the world shortly.
