Bravia: New TV brand from Sony
The new range of LCD TVs from Sony are being launched under the
brand name Bravia.

3rd December,2005: Consumer Electronics major Sony has launched high-end LCD TVs,
under the brand name Sony Bravia. As part of this move, all Sony high-definition LCD TVs will carry the Sony Bravia logo. Sony plans to introduce five LCD TVs in screen sizes from 26 to 40 inches under the Sony Bravia logo.
Bravia stands for "Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture." New LCD TVs from Sony as well as the ones in the market will bear the name Sony Bravia from now on.
"I'm confident that BRAVIA will become as important and recognized as Sony's Trinitron brand. Consumers look to Sony for leadership in television and BRAVIA signals a completely new tradition - it is the culmination of 36 years of innovation and expertise in TV. Teaming BRAVIA and the New York Yankees is a winning combination", said Dick Komiyama, president and chief operating officer for Sony Electronics.

Sony Bravia TVs have a wide screen mode that allows us to watch 4:3 normal broadcasts in wide screen mode. Sony's invisible speaker design saves a lot of space and makes it more trendy.
