26th November, 2005: International Automobile Federation (FIA), the governing body for Formula One racing has confirmed that they have received an application from the Japanese Super Aguri team. They also said that they will not publish the list until the beginning of December.

However, the deadline for entries to next year's Formula One has passed on Tuesday. No confirmation is available about the reports that the Japanese racing team Super Aguri will race in the next F1 season.

The new Super Aguri team will be run by the former Formula One driver Aguri Suzuki. They have already begun advertising for racing and technical spport staff.

The Super Aguri racing team is also looking for test team personnel and engineers to work for the team at the Arrows factory in Leafeld, England. With just four months to go before the Bahrain grand prix, 2006 team Super Aguri has got a lot of work to do, as they are an entire new team in the high-professional Formula One.

Team Super Aguri will be powered by Honda engines. Though the exact nature of support they are receiving from BAR and Honda is yet unclear, the serious recruitment drive from Aguri shows how serious they are into the race.

If Super Aguri makes it to the starting grid, it will be the eleventh team contesting in the Formula One.

Suzuki told reporters at the conference, "we have cleared all the hurdles we had to clear up to this point. Obviously, there is a huge amount of work left, but we plan to be on the grid in 2006. We have the technical co-operation of Honda behind us, so we are confident of achieving our dream of competing in Formula One. Approval from the FIA is not in our control, but we expect to hear at the end of the month."

Though Honda will supply engines for the Super Aguri team, the Aguri team has to build the car on its own under the current rules of the FIA.
